ActionSpace partners with East London Printmakers

ActionSpace is thrilled to partner with East London Printmakers on training opportunities for ActionSpace artists Sharon Adokorach, Adam Crown, Ian Wornast and Aled Williams. This partnership will take place from May-November 2021.

Each artist will participate in a series of 1:1 sessions with printmakers at East London Printmakers to explore new techniques and develop their printmaking skills.

Sharon Adokorach

Sharon began her 1:1 sessions on 27 May, working with tutor and printmaker Ann Norfield. Sharon enjoyed the process immensely, experimenting with colours on 4 different photo screens to create striking, layered abstract prints.

Adam Crown

Adam has been working at East London Printmakers to create a series of etchings. Starting with delicate pencil drawings, Adam has transferred the images onto the metal etching plate using a range of tools to engrave fine details.

Ian Wornast

Screen print of Nine Elms station in grey, blue, yellow and black

Ian returned to East London Printmakers for a series of intensive screen printing sessions. Working with printmaking tutor Ann Norfield, Ian took charge of the screen printing process, selecting colours and layering his hand drawn images to create bold prints. Ian worked from his observations of the Nine Elms tube station as it was being built, the final prints celebrate the anticipated opening of the new London station.
