Flora Bain, Programme Manager
Flora joined ActionSpace as Programme Manager in 2022. She worked in the gallery and museum sector for 15 years before this, most recently at The Mosaic Rooms. She was drawn to ActionSpace by her interest in opening up the contemporary art sector to all, and by the talent of ActionSpace artists.
Roisin Billeter, Marketing and Communications Officer
Roisin joined ActionSpace in 2025 with a marketing, digital storytelling, and curatorial support background. She leads the day-to-day communications at ActionSpace.
Abigail Brothers, Marketing and Communications Manager
Abigail joined ActionSpace in 2019. Abigail leads all marketing and communications at ActionSpace.
Lisa Brown, Associate Artist
Lisa has a BA Hons Fine Art Sculpture from Chelsea College of Art and an MA from Winchester College of Art. She joined Action Space in 2004 as a volunteer with the Young People’s Group. Lisa runs the Cockpit studio projects on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Visit Lisa’s website.
Rebekah Cameron, Artist Facilitator
Rebekah has a BA Hons 1st from Chelsea College of Art. She joined Action Space as a volunteer in 2004 and started running projects in 2008. Rebekah runs our Tuesday studio project at Cockpit Arts.
Louis Caseley, Artist Facilitator
Louis runs our Emerging Artists programme on Thursdays at Studio Voltaire, after initially volunteering at ActionSpace in 2020 and supporting several projects.
Sheryll Catto, Artistic Director & CEO
Sheryll initially joined ActionSpace as Co-Director in 2008 and became Artist Director and CEO in September 2023. She has over 30 years experience in the creative sector and a personal and professional interest in championing inclusive arts practices. Sheryll regularly speaks on inclusion, creativity, and the transformative power of art.
Shelley Davis, Artist Facilitator
Shelley joined ActionSpace at Studio Voltaire as a Friday volunteer in 2008 and since then has worked as an Artist Facilitator and, as required, a graphic designer.
Neil Debnam, Interim Head of Development
Neil is an independent consultant specialising in fundraising, fundraising strategy, organisational development and business planning for arts and cultural organisations and initiatives.
Isabel Hendley, Assistant Facilitator
Charlotte Hollinshead, Head of Artist Development
Charlotte has led the ActionSpace South London Studio at Studio Voltaire for over 25 years. She supports artists with complex disabilities to develop their individual arts practice and delivers an extensive range of commissions, projects, events and exhibitions. Charlotte manages ActionSpace’s innovative participatory programme ‘Make It Live’. Charlotte also has her inclusive participatory practice, Wild City, developing interactive sculptural works and installations for outdoor public events.
Janice Hosegood, Interim Communications Manager
Janice joined the team as maternity cover for the Marketing and Communications Manager. She is a business consultant specialising in communications, event planning, mentoring and project management, with over 30 years’ experience in the creative industry.
Gabrielle Jones, Operations Assistant
Gabrielle joined ActionSpace in 2022 and has an MA in philosophy from Royal Holloway, University of London. Gabrielle co-ordinates the day-to-day operations of the studios and leads on developing our evaluation structure.
Isabel Jones, Assistant Facilitator
Anna King, Assistant Facilitator
Anna spends her day supporting ActionSpace artist Nnena Kalu – sharpening pencils, tearing fabric – so there’s a ready supply to keep up with Nnena’s fast pace. She also helps with workshops and events for the artists in the Clapham studio. Anna comes from a background in Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Art, Interior Design at Chelsea School of Art and floral design, joining Action Space in 2023.
Dan Lamont, Business Director
Dan joined ActionSpace in 2023 with almost 20 years of experience in the sector, most recently with renowned interactive artists’ group Blast Theory. Dan managed Blast Theory’s complex multi-year project budgets, nationally and internationally; financial reporting; policy compliance; and operations, including studio management and HR administration. Dan also secured major new commissions and touring presentations and managed Blast Theory’s residency programme, which supported over 80 artists worldwide. Dan joined ActionSpace to lead operations, governance, and finance.
Nicola McEvoy, Assistant Facilitator
Nicola is an assistant facilitator with ActionSpace’s Emerging Artists programme at Studio Voltaire, after joining as a volunteer in 2024. She is a Fine Arts & Humanities graduate of the Royal College of Art and Goldsmiths, University of London.
Lisa Muten, Artist Facilitator
Lisa runs our Cockpit Monday studio sessions and has previously run the North London Young People’s Group at the Leighton Project, Camden. Lisa has a BA Fine Art degree from Central St Martins, Byam Shaw and an MA with a PGCert HT&L from Kingston University. She is also an artist tutor at the Arts Centre at Brunel University. Emily Rees-Haynes, Artist Facilitator
Emily leads ActionSpace’s Brent studio for emerging artists. Emily has a BFA in Visual Arts and Psychology from the University of Victoria, Canada. She started at ActionSpace in 2015 volunteering with a young people’s project in Kentish Town and then at Studio Voltaire. She has led the Brent studio since 2017. She also has an independent freelance artist practice.
Maisie Rennie-Carter, Pastoral Care Co-ordinator
Maisie has a BA degree in Textiles and has previously supported learning disabled children and adults in schools and play schemes. She joined ActionSpace to help create a safe and supportive environment for learning disabled artists.
Autumn Sharkey, Assistant Facilitator
Autumn is an assistant facilitator at ActionSpace’s Brent studio, and has been there since early 2024. Autumn is a writer and creative facilitator, holds an MA in Creative Writing and Education, and supports the artists at the Brent studio with technical assistance and well-timed cups of tea.
Ian Wornast, Administrative Assistant
Ian joined ActionSpace as a volunteer in 1997 and became the Administrative Assistant in 1998. Ian is employed under the Access to Work scheme and supports the office team and the studio projects. He is also an ActionSpace artist. Visit Ian’s website.
