How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you apply to participate in our services, register to receive one of our newsletters, purchase tickets for an event online, complete an online survey or choose to donate and support us.

When you subscribe to our newsletters, MailChimp receives and processes your data. We store your details in our MailChimp account email database.  ActionSpace will not use your information for any purpose other than sending you newsletters. What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect may include your name, address, email address, IP address, and information regarding which web pages you view and when. We may also collect information about you. When you donate or purchase a ticket for an event online, our third-party payment processors—who specialise in securely capturing and processing credit/debit card transactions—collect your card information directly. We do not hold your card information in these instances, as explained below.

How is your information used?
We may use your information to:

  • Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you. These may include information about our events and activities.
  • Process a donation that you have made
  • Carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us
  • Seek your views or comments on the services we provide
  • Notify you of changes to our services

We regularly review our retention periods for personal information. The law requires us to retain certain types of information to meet our statutory obligations (for example, collecting Gift Aid). We keep your personal information on our systems for as long as necessary for the relevant activity or as specified in any contract you have with us.

Who has access to your information?
ActionSpace and its employees and suppliers contracted to support the functionality of our databases have access to your information. Contractors are required to adhere to this policy and sign a Confidentiality Agreement included in the Policy, confirming that they have read, understood it and agree to abide by it. We will not share your information outside of our organisation, sell, or rent your information to third parties. We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party service Providers working on our behalf
We may pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations to complete tasks and provide services to you on our behalf (for example, to process donations and send you mailings). However, when we use third-party service providers, we disclose only the personal information necessary to deliver the service, and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their direct marketing purposes.

Rest assured, we will not release your information to third parties beyond ActionSpace for their direct marketing purposes unless you request it or we are required to do so by law, such as through a court order or for the prevention of fraud or other crimes.

When you purchase a ticket or donate online via PayPal, a third-party payment processor handles your transaction and specialises in securely capturing and processing credit/debit card transactions. If you have any questions about secure transactions, feel free to contact us.

If we must disclose or share your data to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our terms of use, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, we will take the necessary steps to ensure that we protect your privacy rights.
