Adam Crown
Adam Crown’s drawings and paintings are quiet and considered. He creates observational drawings of people, birds, animals and objects in pencil, ink and watercolour. His attention of detail and experimentation with drawn texture bring to life his bright inks and delicate watercolours.
Following his British Museum project funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation in 2023, to explore and draw from their collection and archives, Adam has focussed on and developed a series of African mask paintings using both pencil, pen and ink. His consideration and lightness of touch adding to each pieces contemporary nature, individuality and living character within.
Adam’s African mask pen and ink work was again selected Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025.
Following an ActionSpace partnership project with East London Printmakers Adam’s work was chosen for Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2022.
