A Journey Through Kingston
presents an original large-scale drawing by ActionSpace artist Ian Wornast, created as part of a permanent public commission for the new Unilever Campus in Kingston. This vivid piece, which explores the theme of journeying through the local area, will be installed as part of the Kingston 2025 festival.

In the related exhibition at Stanley Picker Gallery, visitors will have the chance to experience the full-size drawing that Ian developed for the Unilever Campus commission, along with preparatory works that document his research trips to Kingston. These works offer insight into Ian’s creative process as he engaged with the local landscape, history, and community.

The exhibition will run from 19 June – 19 July 2025, with the opening event taking place on Saturday 21 June, 11 am – 1 pm. The special event will include a walk from the gallery at 12:30 pm to the Unilever Campus, where the commissioned artwork will be unveiled in situ.

The artwork has been commissioned by Cube Real Estate, following a selection process chosen by a local community panel and the project development team. The project architects are Darling Associates.

This public commission follows on from other public artworks Ian has been commissioned to create including The Flags of Boscombe (2023), Art on the Underground Nine Elms Poster (2022) and My Neighbourhood in Nine Elms (2022) commissioned by Wandsworth Council.
