Congratulations to ActionSpace artist Ian Wornast who has been selected to create a large-scale, permanent public artwork in Kingston upon Thames, forming part of the new Unilever Campus.
Following a series of research trips to Kingston, Ian will interweave references to the local area and the town’s history, constructing a landscape that centres on the idea of journeying in his unique graphic artistic style.
The artwork has been commissioned by Cube Real Estate, following a selection process chosen by a local community panel and the project development team. The project architects are Darling Associates, who have assisted Ian and ActionSpace.
This public commission follows on from recent public artworks Ian has been commissioned to create including The Flags of Boscombe (2023), Art on the Underground Nine Elms Poster (2022) and My Neighbourhood in Nine Elms (2022) commissioned by Wandsworth Council.
