ActionSpace artist Thompson Hall took part in an in-conversation with curator, cultural historian and director of Autograph Dr. Mark Sealy at Studio Voltaire. The two discussed Hall’s intricate, large–scale paintings and drawings that respond to his experiences, art history and his life in London. His recent work has shifted to explore inequalities in society, politics, the impact of Covid-19, social change, and his own personal history. Thompson is currently part of the Autograph and Shape Arts’ Transforming Leadership programme and is mentored by Dr Mark Sealy. They also discussed Thompson’s residency at Autograph starting in 2022.
