An interview with ActionSpace artist Babajide Brian will be featured in Issue 14 of OOF Magazine. To mark the launch of the latest issue, OOF Gallery will present two solo exhibitions of works by Babajide Brian and Craigie Harper.
Babajide Brian’s solo exhibition presents an installation filled with drawings of footballers, managers, kits and stadiums. These are heady portrayals of the joy of football fandom, full of nostalgia, history and intricate detail. They serve as a testament to the commitment and genuine passion that comes with being a football fan.
Craigie Harper creates paintings depicting the everyday life of an imagined small Scottish town called Kilmarning. The Scottish artist’s paintings document the reality of life in Kilmarning and its football team. His exhibition at OOF is full of hungover players, matches in the pouring rain, supporters and the disappointment of following a local club.
Both exhibitions deal with dedication and devotion, memory and belief, joy and misery.
