OOF Gallery launched OOF magazine Issue 14 and presented a solo exhibition of drawings by Babajide Brian
30 November – 22 December 2024
OOF Gallery, Warmington House, 744 High Road, London, N17 0AP
An interview with ActionSpace artist Babajide Brian featured in Issue 14 of OOF Magazine. To mark the launch of this issue, OOF Gallery presented two solo exhibitions of works by Babajide Brian and Craigie Harper.
Babajide Brian’s solo exhibition presents an installation filled with drawings of footballers, managers, kits, and stadiums. These heady portrayals of the joy of football fandom, full of nostalgia, history, and intricate detail, serve as a testament to the commitment and genuine passion that comes with being a football fan.
Craigie Harper’s paintings depict the everyday life of an imagined small Scottish town called Kilmarning. The Scottish artist’s paintings document the reality of life in Kilmarning and its football team. His exhibition at OOF was full of hungover players, matches in the pouring rain, supporters and the disappointment of following a local club.
Both exhibitions dealt with dedication and devotion, memory and belief, joy and misery.
