Ophir Yaron’s collaborative sketchbook with Tanya Raabe-Webber goes live
A collaborative sketchbook by ActionSpace artist Ophir Yaron co-created with artist Tanya Raabe-Webber is now published online. In 2021 Ophir Yaron was invited to be a part of a collaborative sketchbook project with Tanya Raabe-Webber and seven selected artists. Ophir and Tanya worked together in response to the theme of Local Environments. Talking over Zoom and communicating through notes in the sketch book, Ophir and Tanya worked over the course of four months to complete the sketchbook. Once one artist had drawn an artwork the sketchbook was sent to the other artist to create work in response, forming an artistic dialogue. The book travelled back and forth between Ophir and Tanya over the course of the project.
Seven artists collaborated with Tanya on the series of hand folded and digital sketchbooks, each with a unique response to the theme. Artists include Helen Thompson, Ashok Mistry, Corrine Daisy, Ophir Yaron, Liam Burke, Ruth Mutch, and Garry Robson.
All the sketchbooks have been published as an Issuu online exhibition publication. Explore the sketchbooks by clicking the link here.
