Artist Lasmin Salmon in collaboration with Celia Pym

ActionSpace artist Lasmin Salmon and textile artist Celia Pym have developed a process of shared knitting. Working side by side, they gradually add individual pieces to a larger work. Both Lasmin and Celia enjoy creating vibrant, tactile work that is exuberant and joyful.
During Festival of Love, Lasmin and Celia invited the general public to come and knit with them on Saturday 27th June, Saturday 4th July, and Saturday 18th July from 11 am to 4 pm. Borrowing wool from their mountain of yarn, passers-by helped them to add to their large-scale, collaborative textile sculpture.
Lasmin Salmon is predominantly a textile artist with a bold and distinctive style. She creates mixed media sewn sculptures with an unconventional but ordered feel.
