Evan Bond: The Cartoon Museum Residency

ActionSpace artist Evan Bond is currently Young Cartoonist-in-Residence at The Cartoon Museum, London. Since May 2025 Evan has been developing his original comic Fat Pompous Douchebag.

Throughout his residency, Evan has been working closely with Steve Marchant, the Museum’s Learning Officer & Comic Art Curator, to bring his ideas from sketchbook to finished comic. Together, they’ve been refining Evan’s storytelling, character design and comic art techniques, pushing his creative practice in exciting new directions.

Evan is now in the final stages of production and preparing to take his comic into the next phase, animation! Over Winter, he’ll focus on post-production, transforming his drawings into moving images and expanding his comic world.

Looking ahead to Spring 2026, Evan is planning a solo exhibition at The Cartoon Museum, where visitors will be able to explore his work up close and purchase his original comic and merchandise.

This residency marks a major step in Evan’s career as a professional artist, building on his ongoing work with ActionSpace to develop his distinctive voice within comic art.
