ActionSpace has been selected to join the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme
We are delighted to announce that ActionSpace has been selected for the Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme.
This major investment will support the transformation of our digital infrastructure and provide important mentoring to take our digital output to the next level, supporting ActionSpace’s overall growth and impact as an organisation.
Launched in 2021, Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Programme has helped strengthen nearly 350 arts organisations in the U.S. and U.K. through strategic improvements to technology infrastructure. The programme supports leadership development and helps cultural organisations strengthen technology and management practices to improve operations, drive revenue, increase fundraising, engage broader audiences, and deliver dynamic programming. The 40 institutions in the initial Digital Accelerator Programme cohort cumulatively grew an additional $20 million in new revenue including through fundraising, reached over 1 million new audience members, and engaged more than 4,000 new artists and partners.
We are pleased to be one of 200 nonprofit cultural organisations accepted into the new cohort, spanning artistic disciplines and organisation size in 52 U.S. cities and 28 U.K. cities.

About ActionSpace:
ActionSpace (charity number: 289618) is a small but impactful and influential charity that punches well-above above its weight. We support talented learning disabled people to develop and maintain successful professional artistic practices; providing specialist personalised support in developing their personal creative, technical skills and abilities, to exhibit and sell their artworks and to access employment. Each year we work intensively with around 70 learning disabled people at our 3 flagship supported studio facilities and, through our outreach programmes and partnerships, we engage over 1,000 learning disabled adults and young people from across Greater London. All our beneficiaries are learning disabled, including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or with additional sensory, mental health and physical disabilities. The breadth of our work enables us to offer a unique set of opportunities for learning disabled people; fostering talent and supporting their professional development. We are close to the needs and challenges faced by those we work with and, through our projects and partnerships with nationally important cultural institutions, and by sharing best practice and supporting innovation and critical debate, we provide essential thought leadership to the sector.
