ActionSpace presents a new installation by Patrick Moses at The Smallest Gallery in Soho titled Autocity. Autocity shows a large continuous 20 metre length of fabric hand coloured and designed by Patrick with his own unique style of words and sentences.
Taking influences from Soho in London and his own personal experiences, for the last 4 months Patrick has been marking out sections of his work with words of different sizes and colours creating individual areas within the fabric. In the process he gives priority to certain words or subjects so that the reader is taken on a journey starting at their own chosen point and naturally read the work in the order they are guided. The completed work is hung in sections showing a distinct relationship between Patrick’s words and spacing with the gallery’s use of their space, naturally breaking up the fabric with its hanging to fit within its limitations.
The Smallest Gallery in Soho is a historic shop-front which faces onto Dean Street, in the heart of Soho.
Autocity will be able to view continuously from the 1st July for two months.
