ActionSpace artist Amita Ramchandani will present her debut solo exhibition A at The Smallest Gallery in Soho, London. This exhibition marks a significant milestone in Amita’s career, showcasing her dynamic, textured work developed over two decades. Located in the heart of London’s West End, the gallery’s street-facing window offers a unique, 24/7 viewing experience for audiences.

About the Artist

Amita, a British-Indian artist and long valued member of ActionSpace, for over twenty years. Through an intuitive, layered approach, she creates tactile works that blend painting, collage, and sewing. Her energetic, sculptural pieces evolve over time, incorporating hand-stitched textiles rooted in her family’s traditions. These elements merge physicality with cultural significance, creating compositions that are both vibrant and deeply personal.

The title of the exhibition, A, refers to Amita’s practice of signing her work with a single letter – a powerful symbol of authorship, identity, and artistic evolution.
