From April 2026-March 2027, Wysing Art Centre‘s residency programme brings together artists who are attuned to the social and material conditions that shape everyday life, addressing topics that include circular economies, ecologies, radical accessibility, labour, play, and community action.
We’re delighted to share that ActionSpace artist, Pardip Kapil, is one of eleven in this illustrious group.
Wysing will welcome the following artists over the next year:
Louise Ashcroft (UK, in partnership with DASH), Mariana Chkonia (Georgia), Roo Dhissou (UK), Va-Bene Elikem Fiatsi (Ghana, in partnership with LADA), Clara Hastrup (UK), Pardip Kapil (UK), Samra Mayanja (UK), Umico Niwa (US/Mexico), RESOLVE Collective (UK), and Ellie Wyatt (UK, in partnership with St Peter’s School Huntingdon and DASH). Bella Millroy (UK) continues as Wysing’s PhD researcher-in-residence.

Pardip Kapil is an artist who creates immersive, interactive environments shaped through installation and live performance. His practice centres on the creation of spontaneous, site-specific structures that evolve through participation, often with Kapil at their core. Combining handmade costumes and props, found objects, music, and projection, his work brings together recurring themes of celebration, including Christmas, discos, and funfairs. Through these playful and layered encounters, his installations invite collective experience and engagement through his ongoing commitment to accessibility, participation, and shared moments of joy.
