Join The Cartoon Museum for a double bill, satirical sci-fi and caricature workshop. In the first half you’ll learn from ActionSpace artist Evan Bond – how he’s created his brand new sci-fi comic and manages to merge real life politics and fantasy.
Evan is the museums current Young Cartoonist in Resident. This programme supports an autistic artist to create new works of art. They then exhibit their artwork and are supported in creating merchandise and running workshops like this one.
The second half of the workshop you will learn from Nicola Jennings – how she takes a face and creates a caricature. Nicola is one of Britain’s most famous caricaturist and you’ll recognise her work from the pages of The Guardian. Nicola has an amazing eye for creating instantly recognisable caricatures that are also able to explain complex political events in a single image.
This one-off workshop will allow guests to learn from two incredible artists. Arrive early to look around the museum and get inspired by the satirical cartoons on display.
Spaces are very limited and booking is essential.
