Ophir Yaron: Express Collaborations

Acrylic painting of Ophir, imagining herself as the Disney character Mulan.

A group exhibition showcasing artworks by international artists created during collaborative workshops.

Past Exhibition: 1 March – 12 April 2025
Location: Project Ability, 103 Trongate, Glasgow, Scotland, G1 5HD

ActionSpace artist Ophir Yaron was included in the group exhibition Express Collaborations, at Project Ability in Glasgow. Built over many months and devised by artist Tanya Raabe-Webber, the exhibition brought together works created during the Express Collaboration Zoom workshops for a group of disabled artists.

These workshops included artists from across the UK and internationally and were a space where they discussed and made artwork in response to themes chosen by one another. Reaching as far as Australia and Sweden, the artists took turns leading online workshops, sharing their chosen theme and why it inspired them, with each artist then responding to this theme by making an artwork.

This process allowed the artists to share their practices with one another whilst giving them experience in delivering workshops and working towards a group exhibition.

Express Collaborations showcases the work made during these collaborative sessions in one space.
