ActionSpace artist Claudia Williams shared a drawing collaboration with One Trust’s John Saunders for Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2022

ActionSpace artist Claudia Williams lead ‘Make It Live: Drawing’, an online drawing event alongside One Trust artist John Saunders. Inspired by Claudia’s practice, the artists created a large-scale drawing installation which they shared live online. Working alongside each other, Claudia and John developed new drawings to add into an evolving drawing installation. Event participants were invited to work online alongside Claudia and John and create their own drawings with pen on paper. The event included an opportunity for participants to showcase their own artwork to the other event attendees.
About The Artists
Claudia’s unique drawing language references her love of Reggae, Soul and R&B music Using repeated imagery of record covers, musicians, self-portraits and depictions of family members, each drawing is annotated with dates, titles and song lyrics. In the ActionSpace studio, Claudia creates a new drawing installation each week. She has been sharing her drawing practice with John Saunders as part of ActionSpace’s Make it Live programme, and whilst the artists have met multiple times online to work alongside each other, this is their first shared public event
