Thursday Late at Autograph Gallery

Date: Thursday 27 September 2018 6-9pm
Location: Autograph, Rivington Place, London EC2A 3BA
Tickets: Free from here

Autograph have teamed up with ActionSpace artists for a relaxed late opening at our Shoreditch gallery. Everyone is welcome to join us for an evening of art, conversation and drinks.

What’s on:
In the ground floor gallery, Omar Victor Diop recasts history and the global politics of black resistance in his exhibition Liberty / Diaspora. Projected alongside Diop’s photographs will be recent work by ActionSpace artist Thompson Hall. Hall’s striking paintings use colours, patterns and motifs drawn from London landmarks and his Ghanaian heritage – part of his search for home, identity and ancestry.

Hall will be joined by Autograph’s Ali Eisa (Public Programme Manager, Education) for an informal artist talk, exploring the ideas that run throughout his work.

Following the artists talk, make your way through to the Studio to view new works by artists Andrew Omoding and Ian Wornast (ActionSpace), the artists will be present to engage in conversation and answer questions about their practices.

A cash bar and a seating area will also be set up in the Studio.
