Nnena Kalu‘s first solo exhibition outside of the UK at Kunsthall Stavanger, Norway.
Past Exhibition: 20 March – 3 August 2025
Location: Kunsthall Stavanger, Madlaveien 33, 4009 Stavanger, Norway
We were delighted for ActionSpace artist Nnena Kalu‘s first solo exhibition outside of the UK at Kunsthall Stavanger in Norway.
Nnena Kalu is known for her large-scale sculptures and repeating wrapping motifs. Titled Creations of Care, the exhibition focused on her exploration of scale and materiality through sculptural processes.
Nnena’s sculptures are created through repetitive processes using materials like paper, textiles, old VHS tapes, tape and other plastic materials. Her practice explores space, scale, and materiality through binding, layering, and wrapping. This ambitious exhibition primarily consisted of new works, providing an immersive visual experience for visitors.
The exhibition was opened by Tone Hansen, Director of MUNCH.
Curated by Kristina Ketola Bore.
The exhibition was generously supported by Arts and Culture Norway and Bergesenstiftelsen.
