The drawing (shown above) by Nigel Kingsbury which was was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2015 , was touring around the UK with the other drawings shortlisted for the prize.
Nigel’s work was shown at the Jerwood Space during September and October, and will now be seen by audiences nationally.

Nigel was fascinated with a female figure and form. He sketched his women in glamorous ball gowns, decadent 1920s outfits and floating dresses with a heaving bosom.
The Jerwood Drawing Prize is the longest running annual open exhibition for drawing in the UK. Selected from original art works, it has established a reputation for its commitment to championing excellence in, and promoting and celebrating the breadth of, contemporary drawing practice within the UK.
