“I use fabric, and I use just paints sometimes. I use acrylic paint, but not watered down.

I just paint what comes to mind. I often paint with pink and silver because I used to love Barbie dolls. Purple is my favourite colour because it makes the actors wink. Sometimes the abstract paintings are inspired by sunsets and rain and feelings too.

Now I’m interested in biography books because of Rex Smith, and because I love him. I’ve started using pictures of Rex in my paintings. I’m making collages with Angela Lansbury, Joe Papp and Linda Ronstadt too.”
