Chair of the Board of Trustees

 

As ActionSpace enters the fifth decade since its incorporation, the organisation embarks on a transformative process of extending the breadth and impact of its creative work with learning disabled artists and creating a more dynamic, diverse and inclusive cultural sector. ActionSpace is looking to recruit a new Chair of the Board of Trustees to work with the Trustees and Sheryll Catto, Chief Executive Officer & Artistic Director, to take it to the next exciting chapter of its impactful history.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of strategic leadership, including previous experience as a Trustee, and will bring an inclusive leadership style, facilitating inclusive approaches to governance.

The Chair will act as an ambassador for ActionSpace, promoting the vision of the organisation. They will build strategic networks to increase funding and raise the profile of the organisation. They will bring a commitment for the transformative nature of the visual arts, understand the cultural climate, and have a strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, advocating for the organisation and the artists we support.

Treasurer of the Board of Trustees

 

As ActionSpace enters the fifth decade since its incorporation, the organisation embarks on a transformative process of extending the breadth and impact of its creative work with learning disabled artists and creating a more dynamic, diverse and inclusive cultural sector. ActionSpace is looking to recruit a new Treasurer to work with the Trustees, Artistic Director & Chief Executive Officer and Business Director to oversee the organisation’s financial controls.

Our Treasurer will have good knowledge of charity finance and an understanding of arts funding. They will work with the charity to advise on risk management and financial planning. They will also demonstrate alignment with the charity’s vision and mission.
