We are delighted to share the news that City Bridge Foundation – London’s biggest independent charity funder, has made a major grant award in support of the work of ActionSpace. This award, which will support the core work of ActionSpace over the next 5 years, will sustain and grow the charity’s innovative work with learning disabled artists from across the Capital.
Sheryll Catto, ActionSpace’s CEO and Artistic Director says:
“We are thrilled with this generous support from City Bridge Foundation. At a time when services for learning disabled people are under increasing pressure, this major award from the Foundation will enable us to continue to invest in excellent creative work with learning disabled artists and participants”.
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the formal establishment of ActionSpace as a charity in 1984. The Foundation’s support at this time will help underpin the charity’s future ambitions; supporting work at its flagship supported studios at – Cockpit Bloomsbury, Studio Voltaire, Clapham and ASC’s Ealing Road Studios in Brent – supporting talent, and providing access to high quality professional development and employment opportunities, alongside expanding progression routes for young learning-disabled people aged 19 to 30 years.
