In February, ActionSpace artist Benjamin Allen led a workshop as part of the Curate Brent: Emerging Curators Training Programme—an exciting new initiative co-developed by CVAN London and Brent Council.
Designed to equip emerging curators and creatives with the essential skills to develop and deliver exhibitions at Willesden Gallery, the programme welcomed twelve selected candidates for an immersive two-day induction. This dynamic start brought together partners from CVAN London, Brent Culture, Brent Museum & Archives, ActionSpace, and UCL’s Institute of Education.
Benjamin Allen’s workshop offered a hands-on introduction to his art practice. Participants were invited to make illustrations and costumes as a tool for storytelling, setting the tone for a programme focused on collaboration and experimentation at The Library at Willesden Green.
