ActionSpace at Engage’s ‘Gathering 2025: (Re)making Practice’

A female artist wraps various materials into floating bundled sculptures in a ornate hall with brown wood walls.

Charlotte Hollinshead, ActionSpace’s Head of Artist Development, will be speaking at Gathering 2025: (Re)making Practice, hosted by Engage. This national conference brings together colleagues from across the UK and beyond to explore creative practice in engagement, participation, and learning.

Charlotte, who has led ActionSpace’s South London studio for over 25 years, will share insights on working with Turner Prize nominee Nnena Kalu and our approach to supporting learning disabled artists through inclusive, artist-led development. Charlotte will be speaking on:

Date: Wednesday 12 November 2025
Time: 10 – 11 am
Location: University of Bradford, Bradford, UK

The wider conference runs from 10 – 12 November, with Charlotte contributing to the discussion Connected Conversations alongside Vicky Richardson, John Whall, Bradford Young Curators, and the Modern Art Oxford team. Later in the day, groups may visit the Turner Prize exhibition at Cartwright Hall.

We’re grateful to be a part of this conversation at the heart of inclusive arts practice.
