Working with Face Front Inclusive Theatre

Face Front Inclusive Theatre are working with Action Space, Heart ‘n Soul, Blink Dance Theatre and Vital Exposure on a research and development project creating a piece of theatre about young people with learning difficulties moving on from education to adult life. The piece has come out of research with young people and their parents/carers who have generously shared their stories about their experiences. The project is funded by Kings College London.

The project ‘It’s my move’ is very exciting , mixing music, dance and drama, with the design provided by Declan Leslie and Shelly Davies from ActionSpace. All the artists leading on the project have learning difficulties and are supported by artists from their organisations.

In July, the team will be presenting their ideas to young people from schools, a college and a day service to get feedback and find out what works and how to develop the show in the future.

The plan for the future is to develop the piece into a full play that will tour nationally to young  people in schools and colleges.
