Over the past few months Andrew Omoding has been working with a group of students at The Village School. Alongside Artist Facilitator Patricia Finnegan, he has been running a series of workshops with the students since February 2016 and this exhibition will show the students’ progress, how Andrew has accompanied them with their artwork and their final collaborative art pieces.
“The project was with a group of students who can display a range of challenging behaviours, which has limited access to galleries and external venues.
Andrew has developed immense skills in leading workshops and instructing individual students. They have developed a warm relationship with Andrew and are very motivated to work with him. I have seen students who have been very difficult to engage, over the course of the project, become active participants in the creative process , which has been wonderful to see.
Andrew has developed skills in assessing where individual students are and how they can make progress. It has been wonderful for our school to work with Andrew. The work produced is beautiful.”
