ActionSpace artist Andrew Omoding has been selected for the Shape Open 2020 digital exhibition titled The Future Is Loading. The exhibition features disabled and non-disabled artists from the UK, Canada, and the USA and looks at how the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed great inequalities in society, but also how there is hope for building an inclusive future.
Looking towards the future, artists remind us to question whose ‘normal’ the ‘new normal’ might be. What will be its instincts, attitudes, and mechanisms? What will joy, love, and pain look like? Who will have access to it and whose interests will it serve? Will it be just, or just like before?’
Andrew Omoding will be exhibiting a film titled It’s My Work, Come See, Come See, made in collaboration with filmmaker Posy Dixon during his residency as Artist in Residence at Camden Art Centre in 2019. Andrew takes us on a tour of his perfect world that he created in the gallery space, spreading happiness and joy and serenading us with a rhythmic music track created in collaboration with sound artists Jackie Ford and Hogay Houghton.

The Shape Open is an annual exhibition of artwork by disabled and non-disabled artists created in response to a disability-centred theme.
