ActionSpace artists accepted into the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition 2021

Location: Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, London W1J 0BD
Dates: 22 September 2021 – 2 January 2022

ActionSpace artists Andrew Omoding, Chandrakant Patel, Ian Wornast and Patrick Moses all had artworks accepted to the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition 2021.

The 2021 Summer Exhibition explored the theme of ‘Reclaiming Magic’ to celebrate the joy of creating art. Yinka Shonibare RA, the Summer Exhibition co-ordinator, said “This exhibition seeks a return to the visceral aspects and the sheer joy of art making. It will celebrate the transformative powers of the magical in art and transcend the Western canon which formed the foundations of the Royal Academy, seeking to restore value to marginalised practices as equally valid forms of enlightenment.”

Also, ActionSpace artist Nnena Kalu was invited by the Summer Exhibition co-ordinator, Yinka Shonibare, to exhibit at the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition 2021.
