ActionSpace and artist Lasmin Salmon feature in the new book Intelligent Hands: why making is a skill for life

ActionSpace and ActionSpace artist Lasmin Salmon are included in the book Intelligent Hands: why making is a skill for life, written by Charlotte Abrahams and Katy Bevan with a foreword by Jay Blades MBE. Intelligent Hands examines why craft and creativity are crucial in education and lifelong learning. The book includes the personal stories of ten people who work with their hands, including ActionSpace artist Lasmin Salmon and interviews with our Artistic Director & CEO, Sheryll Catto and Artist Development Manager, Charlotte Hollinshead.

Divided into three sections, the book explores how physical labour became separated from academic study, how we became divorced from the materials that surround us and the role that crafts and creativity have to play in education for everyone. Published by Quickthorn.
