We are pleased to share that ActionSpace artist Babajide Brian is a recipient of the LOEWE FOUNDATION / Studio Voltaire Award. The award will provide Babajide with a rent-free studio, an individualised programme of mentoring and professional development, a bursary and curatorial and pastoral support.
The 2023-25 awardees are: Babajide Brian, Maz Murray, Emily Pope, Shamica Ruddock, Meera Shakti Osborne, Nick Smith and Ossie Williams. The selected artists work across a range of disciplines and mediums, encompassing a diverse set of interests, experiences and modes of working.
Established in 2021, the LOEWE FOUNDATION / Studio Voltaire Award celebrates talent, individuality and original thinking within contemporary art practice. The programme aims to increase and strengthen equitable representation and access, and amplify artistic voices across class, race, gender, sexuality and disability.
