This project started in April 2012 and is delivered in partnership with Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP). Weekly art sessions take place at PIP’s centre in Shirland Mews, London W9 with artist tutor Charlotte Hollinshead. The group developed a concept for creating a series of unique interactive spaces within an empty cube frame, which the students explored and added to as they wished. The first part of this project culminated in a live art event at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill in November 2012. This was an exciting feast of energy, light, colour and sound. Currently the group is developing a series of experimental film installation pieces. The group have been documenting the creative process of creating both individual artworks, some group pieces and live art happenings. They are also exploring the creative and playful potential of film through special effects, time-lapse and quirky, sometimes challenging camera techniques to capture a moment, a feeling or an idea. The PIP group are working towards another live art participatory event in the Autumn 2013. If you would like any more information about this or any other Action space projects, please email Siobhan or phone 020 7209 4289
