Date: Tuesday 18th September 2018, 6 – 8pm
Location: Phoenix Brighton, 10–14 Waterloo Place Brighton BN2 9NB
The young ActionSpace artists at the Saturday Voltaire Studio group have been discovering and experimenting with Virtual Reality. Supported by Simon Wilkinson and JuNK, the group will explore different ways of making artwork in VR, creating an accessible medium. The project will culminate in a sharing event at Phoenix Gallery in Brighton on 18th September as part of The Brighton Digital Festival.
2018 is the 21st birthday of JuNK, and to celebrate we have been working with 8 learning disabled artists from Actionspace in London and carousel in Brighton to explore the accessible use of virtual reality as a creative tool.
On this event we will present a series of VR installation works created by these artists alongside a Q&A facilitated by Simon Wilkinson of CiRCA69, one of Europe’s most notable names to be working with VR.
