Following their three month residency at the Free Space Gallery, Artists Philippa Marshall and Michelle Kurth invited you on 2 December 2016, during the private view, to join them for some colourful activities and an informal tour of their work. The exhibition is open throughout 2017 (end date to be confirmed)

Philippa works mainly with paint and collage and creates large pieces of bold, colourful artwork. As a non-verbal artist, the colours Philippa uses are really important and they become a form of communication to help express her emotions.
Michelle is a handweaver. She explores woven tapestry using a variety of materials and her background as a graphic designer is often reflected in her work. She enjoys using bold colours and her work in both 2D and 3D is mainly conceptual; frequently moving away from more traditional tapestry weaving.
Phillipa and Michelle have been creating work in response to their environment and to the experience of working with each other.
